Belgium Minister of Defence Pieter De Crem paid a visit to TVH - Group Thermote & Vanhalst in early May. Accompanied by the West-Flemish governor Paul Breyne and a delegation of the city council of Waregem, the minister received a guided tour of the company in the Brabantstraat.

TVH has been a supplier of logistical equipment to the Belgian army for many years, and inivited the minister in order to show him the day-to-day functioning of the business and to meet the employees of the various divisions.

These five divisions - Forklift, Parts (which includes aerial platform parts), Handling Equipment, Rental Equipment and Service & Repair - were described to the minister who was particularly impressed with the operation of the automated parts warehouse.
