Volvo’s joint venture machines

The first Volvo skid steer loaders to result from last year's agreement with JCB have been launched at the Las Vegas ConExpo show.
Volvo Construction Equipment and JCB signed a deal last year to co-operate on the design and manufacturing of skid steer loaders and compact tracked loaders for distribution globally under the two brands.
JCB launched seven models in November 2010, and the final two were introduced at ConExpo.
Now, Volvo has launched its first nine C-series wheeled and tracked models globally, all designed, engineered and manufactured at JCB's North American headquarters in Savannah, Georgia.
The wheeled models are the MC110C, MC115C, MC125C, MC135C and MC155C, with rated operating capacities ranging from 1009 kg to 1495 kg. Gross engine power is from 63kW to 68 kW. The biggest model will not be available in North America.
The first four tracked machines are the MCT110C, MCT125C, MCT135C and MCT145C. The 110C and 145C are not going to be available in North America. The rated operating capacities for the tracked models are from 1452 kg with the gross engine power from 68 kW.
Volvo said it would launch further models later this year, culminating in a full offering of radial and vertical lift wheeled and tracked models in all key rated operating capacity classes.
The skid steers feature the same single loader arm design as the JCB machines, with driver access from the side. The cab door opens to an angle of 75 degrees.
