Socomec joins Unacea

16 March 2016

The latest company to join Unacea, the Italian construction equipment association, is Socomec, which specialises in the production of hydraulic breakers, vibrating rippers and silent demolition tools.

Socomec president Lauro Riani said, “We are joining Unacea because we believe in the association’s commitment as a strong point for an innovative industry such as demolition tools.”

He said that the company’s products allowed controlled and silent demolitions, and opened up “new possibilities in the screening and recycling of aggregates”.

He added that it was, however, necessary to raise awareness of innovation, and to remove all the limitations which sometimes hindered its development.

“This is the reason why we have decided to support the association’s work,” he said.

Founded in 1973 with what it claimed was the first Italian line of hydraulic breakers for excavators, the company has expanded its product range and strengthened its distribution network in Italy and abroad. Today Socomec exports more than the 70% of its production.
