Featured speaker - Ahmed Amir Khalil

Dr Khalil, who will present on “Imploding a pre-stressed concrete bridge” alongside Roberto Folchi, has 18 years of structural engineering experience.

In that time he has been a senior structural consultant with Applied Science International for 11 years managing engineering teams providing demolition analysis, blast analysis, and structural vulnerability assessment based on nonlinear dynamic applied element analysis.

He has provided invited lectures in the area of demolition analysis, progressive collapse analysis and Extreme loading analysis at the universities and engineering societies in USA, Australia, Brazil, and the Middle East. He has served in the past as lecturer, visiting, or adjunct Professor at UAE University, Cairo University and McMaster University.
