Swepac asserts patent at Bauma
17 April 2019
Weber and Mikasa removed battery-powered vibratory plates from their stands at Bauma following a patent infringement claim from Swepac.
Swepac’s patent relates to a design feature of its range of three electric plates in which the battery and motor – using Honda’s new eGX solution - are mounted on an upper part of the structure.
Weber and Mikasa showed vibratory plates with the same Honda system. Swepac requested that the two companies remove the units from their stands and they complied.
IRN understands that Swepac’s patent relates to the positioning of the battery and motor. Honda launched its eGX electrified power unit at Bauma.
