The deadline for entries is June 30 – and while the process of completing the necessary entry forms is not the most difficult task in the world, companies who have not yet put themselves forward should really be starting now to have the best chance of going forward to the awards themselves in Boston, USA, later this year.

The World Demolition Awards are a huge part of the World Demolition Summit, which is organised by KHL group magazine Demolition & Recycling International in cooperation with the National Demolition Association with the support of the European Demolition Association.

This year’s summit is on October 23 and 24 and entries are open in all 11 categories as follows:

  • Civils Demolition
  • Collaboration in Demolition
  • Contract of the Year under US$1 million
  • Contract of the Year US$1 million or over
  • Explosive Demolition
  • Industrial Demolition
  • Urban Demolition
  • Recycling and Environmental
  • Safety and Training
  • Manufacturer Innovation: Plant and Equipment
  • Manufacturer Innovation: Tools and Attachments.

You can enter as many projects or products as you wish, and with all categories honouring best practice and innovation across our industry to enter for, the awards have something for everyone in demolition and recycling.

All you need to do is supply a 1,200 word project or product summary for our judging panel, a shorter 250-word executive summary for Demolition & Recycling International, a photo, company logo and contact details. There is an option to supply additional information but this is not compuslory. Entries to the World Demolition Awards are free of charge and shortlisted companies are entitled to two free tickets to the awards dinner itself.

Several contractors have cited success in the World Demolition Awards when tendering for high-profile demolition projects over the years.

However, even if you don’t win you can still get a positive outcome from entering – if the entry is good enough to be shortlisted by our international panel of judges who have more than 300 years of industry experience between them, you will receive a Shortlisted logo to use in your marketing and publicity.

You can download entry forms from www.demolitionsummit.com/awards

Alternatively please contact steve.ducker@khl.com stating which categories you are interested in and the relevant entry forms will be sent out to you.

Good luck and see you in Boston!
