Allu will be exhibiting equipment from its Transformer, Processor and other equipment ranges at the show. With a theme of ‘Transforming the way you work,’ the company says that they will show how transforming efficiency, profitability and green credentials are achieved through transforming equipment and operations.

This translates into efficiency through the solution being a one-stop-shop process enabling the screening, crushing, aerating, mixing and loading all in a one operation. This also enables an increase of profitability, as less material goes to landfill resulting in lower haulage costs and landfill fees.

Additionally, Allu equipment is also focused on businesses transforming their green credentials, as less material transported to the jobsite means a reduction in fuel consumption, less material to landfill and the greater efficient utilisation of waste materials leading to the support of sustainability.

Allu says that its equipment helps transform any carrier ‒ excavator, wheeled loader, skid steer ‒ into a multifunctional tool that will screen, crush, mix, aerate, pulverize and load all in a one-step operation. The company are at stand C20326, Central Hall.

American Eagle has announced the release of a new lightweight, 40CFM above deck, hydraulically driven air compressor, the 40P. The 40P is a hybrid reciprocating compressor that pairs aluminum and cast steel to control weight, while producing a maximum output of 40CFM and up to 150PSI air pressure. The combination of materials provides a unit that comes in at 240 lbs. (dry weight), making it a compact, weight saving solution.

On booth S60829 the company will also show its LubeMate line of lube skids with its new aluminum lube skid.

Ammann’s growing presence in North America will be reflected in its product displays at Conexpo.

Those products include the company’s recently launched continuous asphalt-mixing plant with RAP utilisation technology; the latest generation of heavy compactors; and a wide range of light compaction equipment. Ammann will be in the Silver Lot, Booth S5254, at the Las Vegas show.

“This past year we’ve opened a new facility in Davie, Florida, to be closer to American customers,” said Gilvan Pereira, managing director of Ammann America. The 70,000-square-foot facility houses staff, a warehouse, a training center and an outdoor area for asphalt plants and compactors.

“We’ve also added depth to our product line, which we are eager to showcase,” Pereira added.

The company will be displaying its advanced recycling plant and a range of heavy compaction equipment and lightweight equipment.

Bentley Systems will showcase its digital construction portfolio, Synchro. The company announced last year it would be expanding the application radically beyond 4D modeling capabilities to better address civil infrastructure projects.

Attendees will be the first to view a full demonstration of the new Synchro  Construction Modeler. The application brings specialised 4D capabilities for linear projects by making design models constructible, eliminating the remodeling construction firms undertake to generate cost estimates.

The modeler enables model-based quantity take offs with a new set of capabilities to transform the design model to a true construction model. Attendees will also see the value of mixed reality in construction with a walk-through demonstration of Synchro XR for HoloLens 2.

Paying tribute to those building the world’s infrastructure, the Caterpillar experience at Conexpo includes a mix of static displays, equipment demonstration area, and new services and technologies under the theme of ‘Your Work Matters.’ The 5,574 m2 exhibit in the show’s new outdoor Festival Grounds includes Operator’s Stadium, where the finals of the Global Operator Challenge and equipment demonstrations take place.  

Caterpillar is investing in technology and safety features showcased in more than 30 Cat machines on display, including nine new product introductions from the dozer, excavator, articulated truck and backhoe loader families. See the display grouped in the outdoor exhibit at Festival Grounds lot F4455.

As well as the wide range of construction equipment on display, the company will also show the safety, efficiency, accuracy and productivity gains achieved through implementing new Cat technologies on machines. Recently introduced Cat Productivity is a web-based advanced productivity management tool that delivers payload, machine and site data from Cat Product Link, allowing contractors to compare performance against productivity targets, fix inefficiencies and maximise machine utilisation.  

Visitors will be the first to see Caterpillar’s latest remote control offering, an enhanced operating station with expanded capability to operate multiple pieces of equipment, equipped with the Command Vision System, from a single remote station. The remote control system also offers a portable console, designed for line-of-sight use, which will also be showcased in the exhibit. Wireless connectivity enables machine operation from a safe location, whether nearby or far away.

CM Labs will showcase new technologies designed to enhance operator training, as well as a line of entry-level products that make quality simulation-based training available to a mass market for the first time at Conexpo.

Booth visitors can test drive CM Labs’ new line of entry-level training solutions, which provides an affordable way for organisations to integrate simulation into their training for the first time, or to fill classrooms with the technology that has made CM Labs the largest simulator vendor in the market.

With construction equipment manufacturers developing intelligent new technologies at a rapid pace, CM Labs is incorporating these technologies into its simulators.

In addition, CM Labs will be displaying the most popular training simulators in the US today, with its immersive Vortex Advantage and portable desktop Vortex Edge Plus. CM Labs Simulations is at booth F100911 in the Festival Lot.

As equipment manufacturers strive to develop machines that are cleaner, more reliable and more productive, Cummins will showcase its latest engine range, the Performance Series in South Hall 4, stand S84407.

Visitors to Cummins will see the B4.5, B6.7 and L9 Performance Series engines, as well as the F3.8 Power Unit complete with aftertreatment and cooling pack. The full Performance Series line up spans 3.8 to 15 litres and delivers on average 10% more power and 20% more torque across the 3.8-9 litre range.

Not only does this enable OEMs to produce equipment that delivers higher power density and machine capability, Cummins customers also benefit from the Performance Series’ less complex design with no EGR, reduced weight and size, and an easy-to-package Single Module aftertreatment system. Suitable applications include excavators, wheeled loaders, fork trucks, cranes, container handlers, rollers, compactors, compressors and many more.

Alongside clean diesel technology, Cummins will display its vision of a future worksite, with alternative fuel sources, electric technology and connected solutions representing future energy diversity and digitalisation. The company will highlight that the future does not have a ‘one power source fits all’ approach, instead displaying a concept of clean diesel, hybrid and electrification working together.

Curtiss-Wright’s Industrial Group will be showcasing its latest product offerings including Human-Machine Interface (HMI) Controls, electronic throttle controllers, transmission shifters, sensors and power electronics.

Curtiss-Wright has experience in designing and manufacturing solutions for the monitoring and control of vehicles operating in extreme conditions, including applications throughout the construction and off-highway sectors.

A recent trend for these applications – and one being highlighted on the Curtiss-Wright stand – is towards OEMs incorporating electronic HMIs that integrate fully into custom control boxes and armrest assemblies, providing operators with a wide range of new capabilities.

Working closely with OEMs, Curtiss-Wright can develop complete HMI console assemblies that incorporate multiple functions and can be operated with the use of just one hand, or via finger or thumb activation. Typically incorporating joysticks, push-button switches, rotary thumbwheels and levers, they bring control of many vehicle functions and features to a central console.

Deutz will be presenting its sustainable off-highway drive systems and digital service solutions at Conexpo. Under the banner ‘revolutionising power’ the company will showcase solutions for highly efficient, conventional internal-combustion technologies and for a zero-carbon off-highway sector, including diesel, gas, hybrid, electric, and hydrogen-based technologies.

Innovative e-services have been developed to ensure maximum dependability of drive systems. These include mobile engine diagnostics using telemetry and ground-breaking maintenance tools incorporating augmented reality.

Customers can use the Advanced Configurator to select from the company’s modular range of e drive systems. Taking account of the customer’s performance specifications and relevant emissions requirements, Deutz configures the ideal combination of conventional and electric drive components.

The results will be on show for Conexpo visitors, for example in the form of an all-electric JLG G5-18A telehandler. This customer application has a split drive with two 40 kW electric motors and battery capacity of 42 kWh, thus demonstrating that electric-powered off-highway equipment offers added value both for customers and the environment.

“Our modular Advanced Configurator enables us to serve our customers with flexibility and offer them optimum drive systems that are compatible with different technologies,” explains Michael Wellenzohn, member of the Deutz Board of Management.

Attendees at this year’s Conexpo will be able to see new equipment powered by innovation from Doosan Infracore North America. An advanced line-up of excavators, wheeled loaders and articulated dump trucks (ADTs) will await guests at Doosan’s Stand N10001.

Visitors can explore the latest Doosan models, such as the DA45 ADT, the DL580-5 wheeled loader and the DX800LC-5 crawler excavator ‒ the largest Doosan machine yet. Doosan will also showcase Concept-X, an autonomous worksite in development as the company invests in meeting the construction industry’s future equipment and technology needs.

The new Stage V compliant DA45 ADT is being shown for the first time at the show. The DA45 has a payload of 41 tonne and is powered by the new Scania Stage V DC13 13 litre diesel engine with an output of 368 kW.

The new Scania engine has undergone two years of intensive testing in exacting construction and mining environments. Whilst the core of the Scania engine has not changed, the main difference in the new engine from its predecessor is said to be the improved after-treatment system.

Enerpac is bringing an all-new exhibit to the show highlighting tools for construction equipment repair with several hands-on displays showing high force tools in action.

A bucket maintenance display will demonstrate Mirage line boring machining for pin hole refurbishment, nut cutter tooth replacement and metal straightening using the Enerpac MS2-1020 maintenance set.

A vehicle maintenance display will demonstrate track bolt tightening and loosening using a hydraulic torque wrench and slew-bearing facing with Mirage portable facing machines.

Other interactive features in the booth include a cylinder display with high-pressure hydraulic telescoping cylinders, a hydraulic cutter display, a hydraulic pump display featuring new E-Pulse pumps and ZE pump series and a lifting display with cube-jack self-cribbing lifting system. The company are at booth S60713 in South Hall 1.

Epiroc will be showing a host of new and updated products from booth C20405. “Since our spin-off from Atlas Copco in 2018, we’ve viewed ourselves as a dynamic startup with nearly 150 years of heritage,” said Jon Torpy, general manager and president for Epiroc USA.

“We head to our first Conexpo as an experienced company committed to driving the future of intelligent infrastructure development, quarrying and mining. We’ll present selected 6th Sense solutions ranging from connected equipment to different levels of automation to digital fleet management, all to support our customers’ digitalisation journey.

“We’re excited to connect with current and future construction partners to discuss how our team can support them in a sustainable, efficient and safe way.”

Epiroc will showcase new and updated products — including the automation-ready SmartROC D60 surface drill rig — to help customers increase productivity, safety, efficiency and sustainability.

Companies of the Fayat Group are showcasing equipment and technology for the future of road construction, maintenance and rehabilitation at Conexpo.

 Themes covered will include everything from safe and alternative drives and other technologies for reducing energy consumption and carbon footprint, to autonomous machines and digital integration.

Jörg Unger, president of the Fayat Road Equipment division, said, “We see three main priorities driving the industry: advancing safety, improving environment and harnessing digitalisation are at the heart of every machine, so contractors can be more productive, efficient and profitable.

“Specifically on planning and documentation of jobsites, but also in operator assistance systems to improve both the quality of work and also the safety of the jobsite, the Fayat Group is presenting solutions for all of these.”

The Bomag, Marini-Ermont, Marini Latin America, Marini and Secmair booth C30316 and the Dynapac booth C31113 will be located in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

GOMACO’s concrete slipform pavers now feature the new Navigator software and optional ground level touchscreen display. The all new Navigator brings all of the G+ paver accessories together for easy control and monitoring on an optional touchscreen display.

The touchscreen display can be mounted on the paver at ground level and allows ground personnel the ability to fine-tune adjustments to the paver’s performance and also configure settings for the GSI, side bar inserters, tie bar inserters, and power transition adjusters. Ground personnel can monitor elevation and steering deviations for the paver and make as-needed adjustments to control sensitivities.

The deviations meters are customisable and can be displayed in a G+ bar graph, circular, or oscilloscope/histogram mode. The Navigator makes it possible to retrofit new G+ accessories to older GOMACO pavers still operating with the G21/G22 control systems.

Ground personnel can easily monitor the pave-time operation of the paver’s bar insertion systems and power transition adjusters (PTA) with the GOMACO Navigator. It supports up to four PTAs with simple-to-operate touchscreen control. To make a transition, the ground person simply enters the new target height values for each PTA, then enters the transition distance, and presses start transition. A colored, graphical display shows the height of each PTA, as well as the new target height. The Navigator can support four tie bar inserters and two side bar inserters. The display illustrates the moving machine position including transverse joint spacing and when the paver passes an insertion point, fire lamps for each tie bar or side bar inserter are illuminated.

The new Navigator and paver-mounted GSI will be shown at Conexpo aboard the GP4 paver.

The John Deere booth area will include locations for the Construction & Forestry Division (N12525), John Deere Power Systems (S83817) and the Wirtgen Group (Silver Lots 1 and 2; S5419).  

In addition to an expansive and interactive booth experience, exhibition attendees can anticipate 250 product experts, 74 total products on display, 12 displays featuring special technology, new machine features and support solutions.

There will also be seven world premieres of brand-new equipment across the construction and compact construction segment, five simulator stations for attendees to interact with and compete against fellow operators, two educational sessions featuring commentary from John Deere experts and one live presentation every morning to kick off the day at the John Deere booth.

Global manufacturer of crane, excavator, loader, dozer and skid steer attachments, the Kinshoffer Group, will be showing a selection of new and recently updated products on display at the Group’s booth, located at F2732, Festival Grounds.

Additionally, visitors will see a realignment of all Kinshofer Group companies currently operating in North America. The strategic refocus is based on the primary needs of the customer to ensure the company remain as easy as possible to do business with. Four specialist product groupings have been defined to facilitate this realignment: cranes tools, demolition and recycling tools, heavy construction tools and light construction tools.

Komatsu will debut new patent-pending Machine Control 2.0 technology in addition to new equipment at the show. Featured in the booth will be equipment, technology and service solutions for construction, waste, quarry, energy, forestry, and forklift.

There will be nearly 25 Komatsu machines on display including brand new models as well as machines that have been recently introduced. Among the machines featured on the floor will be the D51i-24 and D61i-24 dozers with the recently introduced, proactive dozing control.

This industry-first technology enables operators to use machine control from ‘grass to grade.’ The system provides a real-time picture of what the terrain around the machine looks like and makes calculated decisions — whether to cut and carry material, whether to spread or fill that material, or whether to perform finish grading.

On Wednesday, March 11, 1:00-2:30pm at Westgate, Pavilion, Komatsu is conducting an educational training seminar on Equipment Operator Best Practices for quarry managers and site foremen to have a better understanding of how to maximise machine operation efficiencies. On Friday, March 13, 9:30-10:30am at Westgate, Pavilion 10, Komatsu will offer a seminar on Autonomous Haulage: Lessons Learned from Surface Mining.

K-Tec’s newest and innovative earthmoving scrapers and accessories will be on display at the outdoor Festival Grounds in booth F2932.

Attendees will enjoy a fully immersive earthmoving experience with hourly product demonstrations, along with a Virtual Reality (VR) experience for operator attendees to simulate the smooth scraper ride and machine controls.

Nine prominent earthmoving machines will be showcased around the perimeter of the booth, including 1228ADT Scraper featuring a new Telematics System attached to a Volvo A25G ADT.

K-Tec says that it is pioneering the first pull-pan scraper telematics system on the market. This technology allows for real-time K-Tec earthmoving job site performance information linked to the office via cloud software dashboard. The contractor will be able to view daily average cycle times and volume of material moved.

LiuGong will be showing a range of equipment on its stand with highlights said to be the F series excavators and the new Dressta dozer. The 922F excavator will be launched in North America at Conexpo – it features integrated technology, intelligence and environmental protection.

The 22-ton class excavator has the latest electronically controlled hydraulic systems, consisting of a main pump with large displacement, low-speed, high-torque engine and main electro-hydraulic proportional control valve. Improved hydraulic flow distribution, greater operator control and more precise operator placement of bucket or attachment are said to lead to improved quality of performance and operational efficiency. The auto engine shut down and integrated work modes help owners with higher productivity and improved fuel economy.

A global launch will come in the form of Dressta’s TD-16N dozer. It is said to offer best in class visibility, improved safety, and performance. Visibility is one of the core design aspects for the new TD-16N, offering an unparalleled view around the cab, blade, ripper and tracks.

Liebherr will be showing approximately 30 different types of construction equipment including new to market excavators, cranes and intelligent assistance systems. The company will be in the Festival Grounds at booth F5258 and in the South Hall at booth 84321.

Altogether, Liebherr’s products will fill more than 53,000 ft² (4,900 m²), providing room for hydraulic excavators, wheeled loaders, crawler loaders and tractors, deep foundation machines, material handlers, tower cranes, mobile and crawler cranes, as well as a concrete pump.

There will also be a North American premiere for the company’s next generation of crawler excavators.

The Generation 8 crawler excavator series is made up of seven models ranging from 48,500 to 99,200 lb (22 to 45t): R 922, R 924, R 926, R 930, R 934, R 938 and R 945. Two machines of the product range, R 926 and R 938, will be exhibited for the first time in the US at the Liebherr booth.

The highlights of the new crawler excavator generation include higher engine power, a heavier counterweight for higher bucket capacities, and minimal fuel consumption. A new equipment concept with a modified piece at the top of the boom is an innovative new feature.

This leads to better performance and equipment forces with reduced operating weight of the machine. Another feature is the optimised load curve, which yields reduced fuel consumption. These machines have been specially designed to provide extra comfort and safety for the operator, as well as optimum ergonomics and performance on the job site.

There will also be two new cranes for the American market: the LTM 1650-8.1 mobile crane and the LR 1800-1.0 crawler crane and new assistance systems for wheeled loaders presented at the show that will be a North American premiere.

Screening and crushing company McCloskey International will demonstrate its continued growth with a significant increase in its line-up, with a total of nine products on display.  

Located in the Silver Lot at Stands S5405, the 1,858m2 space will showcase the newest products from McCloskey International, as well as new features designed in collaboration with customers.

The McCloskey display is located directly across the aisle from Lippmann-Milwaukee, offering the convenience of exploring a large range of solutions from both companies for the construction, demolition & recycling, aggregates, mining and the oil and gas industries.

Products on display at the show will include crushers, screeners, stackers, trommels and a compact sand plant.

Metso will showcase its latest innovations and field-proven technologies for the aggregates industry, with solutions designed especially for the show.

“In the world of construction, dependability matters. At Metso we’ve turned our over 150 years of experience in crushing and screening into solutions that aggregate producers and contractors all over the world depend on to increase their production and profitability, year in and year out,” says Simon Pelletier, SVP USA & Canada at Metso. “This year, we have built our show specifically with small- to mid-sized quarrying and general contractors’ needs in mind.”

Previously launched at the 2017 show, the MX Multi-Action cone crushing technology has been welcomed by quarry operators around the world with close to 100 units sold globally. This year, Metso will feature the new MX3 crusher and a special Lokotrack mobile crushing plant equipped with an MX4TM crusher.

The new Lokotrack ST4.10 mobile screen is a high-capacity screening plant for quarrying, which further adds to Metso’s range of hybrid equipment. These new solutions will be on display.

Metso’s key offerings will also include the new lightweight truck body solution Metso Truck Body for hauling more with less. The complete solution is available for all major off-highway truck models used in quarrying and mining operations.

Rapid International will exhibit at stand number B7201 (Bronze Lot) where delegates will have the opportunity to see the Trakmix, track-mounted, mobile continuous mixing plant. Trakmix offers an entirely self-contained design mounted on tracks including an on-board genset, providing the ultimate in fast, mobile flexibility.

Trakmix is the first track-mounted mixing plant of its kind to market. Patent pending features include a superior controls system that weighs all materials and double hopper cement weighing system.

Popular with both civil engineering and road contractors alike, Trakmix is ideal for semi dry mixing applications such as RCC (Roller Compacted Concrete), CTB (Cement Treated Base), soil stabilisation, soil cement, bentonite, marine dredging, mine backfill and many more.

At this year’s Conexpo Rubble Master, specialists in compact crushing, focuses on the best weight to throughput ratio with maximum efficiency, best service and digital support.

The company will be exhibiting the RM 70GO! 2.0 crusher in combination with their RM HS3500M screen, the RM 120GO! with the RM MSC8500M-2D as well as the RM MTS2010S.

Starting this year, a combination that has been available for the larger compact systems is now offered with the RM 70GO! 2.0. The integrated mesh screen with refeeding belt is now available with the most compact crusher in the RM GO! series to enable crushing and screening in a single pass. The additional equipment is transported together with the crusher unit.

Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology will showcase several innovative solutions at Conexpo with a focus on new technologies and methods supporting customers to improve their safety, productivity and sustainability even further.

The show gives Sandvik the opportunity to interact with customers from the global construction industry and introduce to them the latest developments in technology and services.

Some of the cornerstones of the extensive Sandvik offering of equipment and services will be on display, as well as promoted through the latest digital technology, demonstrating why it is a supplier of choice in application areas including rock drilling, rock cutting, crushing and screening, loading and hauling, tunneling, quarrying and breaking and demolition.

Superior Industries, a US-based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, plans to debut its brand new Sentry Horizontal Shaft Impactor (HSI) at booth C31389. It’s one of a dozen new products the company will introduce during Conexpo.

Using a high speed impacting force, HSI encourage stones to break along their natural cleavage lines. This generates cubically-shaped material, which is desirable for many of today’s applications.

Superior’s Sentry HSI is designed with a fully fabricated open-style rotor, which produces low inertia energy for a lower cost of ownership. In addition, proper spacing inside the crusher’s chamber creates more area for processing larger feed sizes. Owners and operators will safely and easily complete maintenance functions of the HSI’s mainframe components via a hydraulically controlled opening and closing feature.

Other design elements include commonly shaped side liners, hydraulically adjusted curtains, mainframe inspection doors and a replacement upper feed opening.

Superior defines its new line of Sentry HSI’s by rotor size and has 15 models available for manufacturing.

Trimble will make several big announcements at the event, including new products and advancements in machine control and automation. In an industry first, visitors to the Trimble booth will have a chance to remotely control heavy equipment, including a dozer and a compactor running remotely on a job site in Ohio without an operator in the cab.

This important milestone to full automation underscores the possibilities of digital transformation. Attendees will also be able to monitor these machines, check their status, see the outputs of their productivity and more. Additional new product and service announcements from Trimble will further demonstrate how the company is driving the industry forward by enabling customers to access the right data, at the right time, to make the right decisions on projects around the world.

With the successful launch of its new generation of large milling machines, Wirtgen has made lasting improvements to the process of milling in terms of performance and efficiency. The company has now added the W 220 Fi and W 250 Fi flagship models to its intelligent F Series; they will celebrate their world premiere at Conexpo.

The new W 220 Fi and W 250 Fi large milling machines serve a wide range of applications at a maximum milling depth of 350° mm – from surface course rehabilitation and fine milling work to complete removal of the surface. Various drive concepts are available to ensure maximum, optimal milling performance. For example, the W 220 Fi is equipped with a two-speed Dual Shift powershift transmission, while the W 250 Fi has an Active Dual Power dual engine drive.

The company will also be displaying machines for cold in-place recycling. The tracked recyclers also deliver impressive results during full-depth recycling and high-performance milling.

The W 380 CRi will make its North American debut at the show set up as a recycling train with the Vögele paver SUPER 2000 - 3i including extending screed AB 600 TV+ and tandem roller HD+ 140i VVHF HCQ from Hamm.

The asphalt surface is removed, depending on the level of damage, by a recycling train operating across the entire width of the pavement in a single pass, mixed with binding agents on site, and then paved again immediately. The W 380 CRi can recycle the road surface to a full depth of 300mm, so it is also suitable for full-depth recycling (FDR).
