Frank Schroeder has been named director of parts and service at Terex Cranes, Zweibrücken, in Germany. His focus will be on providing world class customer support for all terrain and crawler cranes, according to the company.

Schroeder joined Terex Cranes in November 2000 as a project engineer in the research and development department after earning a doctorate in engineering at the University of Munich. While with Terex Cranes, he has been instrumental in improving the performance of the parts and service organization, the company said.

"Working in close co-operation with our customers and service partners, I am pleased to be leading a Terex team that is committed to continuous improvement in parts and service support", Schroeder said. "We believe customer focus is key to facilitating a proactive approach to anticipating and meeting their needs."

The parts and service department includes team members responsible for parts for all terrain and crawler cranes; service operations, both office and field service; service engineering and training in both the product support and technical training area; and the repair workshop.
