The new Montabert V4500 breaker tops its automatic two speed model line

French attachment supplier Montabert used Bauma to launch a new breaker that tops its line of automatic two speed breakers in the shape of the 4,500 kg (9,900 lb) V4500, intended for use on carriers weighing from 45 to 80 tonnes.

The new breaker provides an input power of 117 kW. A hydraulic flow of 380 l/min provides 750 blows per minute at an operating pressure of 185 Bar. The V4500 can work with a high back pressure up to 25 Bar and offers true overflow protection as standard, said the company. A robust, heavy duty housing and large retainer pins allows tools with diameters up to 190 mm (4.8 in) to be used. The standard version of the V4500 comes as Metro Silenced and can be equipped with a pressurisation circuit for underwater and tunnelling work.
