Atlas Copco has introduced four new hand-held breakers that, it claims, significantly reduce vibration emissions to provide greater protection from occupational hazards such as 'white finger' while still providing high power output.

The LH190 E, LH230 E, KH280 E and LH400 E feature a spring mounted handle on a dampened pivot pin that improves vibration dampening, making the tools easier to use and results in less fatigue to improve overall productivity, says Atlas Copco.

According to business line manager, construction tools, John Fitzpatrick: ""It's well known that hydraulic breakers are reliable and suited to tough working environments, but this new generation of breakers meets the important requirement that as work equipment wears out it is replaced with more efficient, lower vibration equipment, helping employers to meet their duty of care responsibilities."

The LH190 E is a lightweight multi-purpose breaker, while the largest, the LH400 E, is suitable for the most demanding jobs on heavy asphalt, reinforced concrete and foundations.
