Havator acquires Norrlandskranar

Scandinavian crane and transport specialist Havator has acquired mobile crane rental company Norrlandskranar AB and subsidiaries Norrlandskranar i Jämtland AB and Örnkranar AB in Sweden.

Norrlandskranar offices are in Sundsvall, Örnsköldsvik, Härnösand and Östersund. There are 35 employees and a turnover of SEK 49 million (Euro ). The acquisition brings 20 cranes up to 300 tonnes capacity. Havator's position in central Sweden will be strengthened, the company said. "The possibility for good availability, better security, more effective customer solutions increases, benefiting both Havator and its customers", said Peter Nilsson, director of operations Sweden.

Havator has had crane operations at Uppsala, Sundsvall and Örnsköldsvik in central Sweden. Others in the country are in Nyköping, Norrköping, Motala, Gothenburg and Stenungsund, as well as Umeå, Skellefteå, Piteå, Luleå, Kalix and Kiruna.
