CMC acquires US distributor

CMC Group has announced that it will acquire US-based distributor All Access Equipment.

The buyout forms part of Italy-based CMC’s focus on advancing its expansion in the US through pre-established distribution operations.

Based outside of Boston, Massachusetts, and founded by the Polonski family in 2011, All Access Equipment is a well-established sales, distribution and services provider for aerial platforms and related equipment throughout North America.

All Access specialises in the tree care sector, and became CMC’s partner in the US in 2011, and has since grown to serve as a major supplier of the Italian manufacturer’s spider lifts across its wide network of dealers and customers. The company employs more than 60 people at its Wilmington, Massachusetts, and Salem, New Hampshire facilities.

With the acquisition of All Access, CMC said it intends to lead the US market, partly through continued consolidation. In November CMC was majority acquired by finance firm Metrika SGR, which CMC said would provide it with the opportunity for global expansion.

The Polonski family will retain management of All Access. “The transaction represents an important strategic step for the CMC group,” said Alessandro Mastrogiacomo, CEO of CMC Group.

“This is also the starting point of an ambitious industrial plan shared with the Metrika fund.”

“We are incredibly proud and excited about the transaction, which represents the fruits of a solid and long-lasting successful partnership between All Access and CMC,” added Ryan Polonski, CEO of All Access Equipment.
