CECE, the association representing European equipment manufacturers, has opened registration for its annual congress, which will be livestreamed from a TV studio in Stockholm, Sweden, on 8 October.

The programme of the free-to-virtually-attend event, organised jointly by CECE and its Swedish counterpart SACE, reflects both the restrictions imposed by the coronavirus pandemic and the digital transformation of the construction industry.

While recognising the dramatic changes the current crisis is making to businesses the world over, CECE maintains that congress delegates will have a chance to learn how the industry plans to recover and gain insights into the latest trends and challenges of the sector.

Along with economic and industry forecasts, delegates will hear from a panel of senior industry speakers, describing individual and joint initiatives, aimed at ensuring a solid and sustainable recovery, as well as a smooth transition to increasingly digitalised operations.

The congress will also take a deep dive into the challenges of doing business post Covid-19 and offer delegates the opportunity to learn from the compelling cases of competing OEMs.

Speakers will include CECE president, Niklas Nillroth and CECE secretary general, Riccardo Viaggi, as well as Chris Sleight, managing director of Off-Highway Research, David Ståhlberg, an expert in digital leadership, Anders Gustafson, CEO of Log Group, and Bengt Nilsson, CEO of Hammerglass.

The four-hour-long event will be professionally moderated by Malcolm Larri of Brave Personal Development.
