‘Business as usual’ – Keltbray

One of the world’s largest demolition contractors has announced that it is “largely business as usual” during Coronavirus and that it will stay open through the outbreak for as long as it safely can.

Oner and executive chairman Brendan Kerr said Keltbray had the labour and materials to progress jobs in the foreseeable future

United Kingdom-based Keltbray Group, which turned over close to £400 million (US$560 million) in the year to October 2018, made the statement on its website,

“While we recognise that COVID-19 presents an unprecedented challenge for all of us, Keltbray is a strong and resilient business,” said owner and executive chairman Brendan Kerr.

“As of today we are still operating in a largely business-as-usual manner for our clients, in line with the guidance being issued by the various UK government departments.

“We will continue to be open for business whilst we still believe it is safe to do so.

“We are maintaining open lines of communication with our clients, our supply chain and the appropriate authorities to ensure that we have the labour resources and materials necessary to progress our work on project sites for the foreseeable future.”

In recent years the company has executed projects including London’s Earl’s Court redevelopment, Battersea Power Station and HS2 in Euston.
