Italian manufacturer Barin has delivered an AB 16/S bridge inspection unit to the Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal (DBCT) in Australia.

DBCT purchased the truck-mounted Barin unit to carry out inspection works on the jetty and wharf of the terminal. The AB 16/S offers a bucket-type aerial work platform, which can work both underbridge and overhead.

The unit, mounted onto a Scania P400 LB 8x4 HNB chassis, offers a maximum reach of 16 m underbridge and a maximum reach of 21.5 m overhead. The platform has a load capacity of 300 kg. The unit measures just 2.5 m wide.

Lincoln Hire Ltd of Brisbane, Barin’s exclusive distributor for Australia, brokered the deal.

DBCT is part of the world’s largest coal export port in Australia and exports thermal and metallurgical coal from Queensland’s Bowen Basin mines.
