All Erection & Crane Rental in the USA has signed a deal for 46 new Manitowoc cranes and five luffing jibs.

The deal includes 10 Manitowoc 2250 crawlers, one Model 16000 crawler and 31 Grove rough terrain cranes from 40 US ton (36.2 tonnes) to 150 ton (136 tonnes), including 10 new Grove RT650E 50 ton (45 tonne) capacity rough terrain cranes and ten Grove RT540E 40 ton (36 tonne) RTs.

Other cranes ordered included two GMK7550 all terrain cranes, two GMK5165 ATs, plus two Grove RT9150E, four RT9130E and five RT890E rough terrains.

Commenting on the order, Michael Liptak, All president, said, “Fortifying our rental fleet allows us to offer more quality used equipment for sale, so demand is met for all of our customers.”

“In our 49 years of business, we’ve seen a trend towards manufacturing ever-larger RTs. Lift engineers are designing heavier lifts, and manufacturers have been making the larger RTs more mobile. That slowed demand for 30 to 50 ton RTs for a while. But now we’re seeing a renewed interest in these smaller footprint machines,” Liptak added.

“We are adding to our already considerable resources to handle incoming jobs in virtually all developed sectors,” said Liptak, adding that, “the purchase of the Model 16000 crawler and these versatile GMK7550s demonstrates our commitment to continuous upgrading of our fleet in all capacity ranges. These are heavy hitters, but the demand is there right now and the pricing worked in our favour.”

Many of the cranes will be added to the fleet at its Cleveland, Ohio, headquarters.
