Fire-damaged structure demolished

In March 2022, after a fire engulfed a 102,000 sq m (1.1 million sq ft) distribution centre in Indiana, USA, local authorities called Casey-Bertram to provide immediate support to the fire department.

A short time later, the Indianapolis-based demolition contractor was tasked with the teardown of several of structure’s concrete pre-cast panels, which measured 14.3 m (47 ft) tall and were situated within 9.1 m (30 ft) of critical utility systems that supported an adjacent distribution centre with over 1,000 employees.

To complete the challenging project Casey-Bertram used a Kobelco SK300 with a 15 m high reach front and a LaBounty multi-demolition processor (MDP 20R), both of which were recommended by Ohio-based specialty equipment dealer Company Wrench.
