Bauma Conexpo India has been postponed for a second time and will now take place 20 – 23 April 2021.

The show was originally set to take place in early November this year but due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, it was re-scheduled for 23-26 February 2021 in Gurugram, New Delhi. It will now be held on the new dates at the India Expo Centre (IEC), Greater Noida, Delhi NCR.

Bhupinder Singh, CEO of bC Expo India, said the decision to postpone the exhibition followed careful consideration of the Covid-19 situation in India and discussions with the industry. “The gradual upturn of the market leaves us confident that the industry will find even more favourable conditions for doing business at the new dates. Plus, rescheduling the exhibition will enable us to provide a safer environment for our exhibitors, stakeholders, and visitors as their safety is our topmost priority.”

Singh added, “We want to thank our partners for their continued support and help in facilitating this difficult decision to postpone the trade fair.”

Arvind K. Garg, chairman of bauma Conexpo India and head of construction and mining machinery at Larsen & Toubro, confirmed that the show will follow government safety guidelines. “Along with providing top facilities and an excellent infrastructure, bauma Conexpo India is all set to cater to the industry’s needs. We wish to affirm that all government directives and norms will be followed stringently to provide a safe experience that the participants expect and deserve.”

The Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association (iCEMA) and Builders Association of India (BAI) also backed the revised dates, which they said allowed the industry more time to prepare and for BAI’s annual meeting to be organised at the same time as the show. Mu Moahan, president of BAI, said, “We are certain that with the travel restrictions relaxed, more exhibitors and visitors will be able to take part in the exhibition.”
