ICUEE returns in 2021 as The Utility Expo
20 July 2020
The Utility Expo, formerly International Construction & Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE), is returning to the Kentucky Exposition Center 28-30 September, 2021 and organisers say they’re committed to staying in Louisville through 2029.
Occurring every two years, The Utility Expo is reported to generate approximately US$16.9 million in economic impact with each event.
The indoor/outdoor expo targets utility professionals and construction contractors, providing insight into the latest innovations and trends affecting their industries.
ICUEE 2019 broke attendance records, attracting over 19,000 visitors from the US, Canada and more than 65 countries worldwide to explore more than 30 acres of equipment, products and technologies.
The show featured a new equipment demonstration area, new and expanded education programs, and new networking opportunities.
The show’s new UTV Test Track featured utility terrain vehicle displays and test-drive courses for hands-on evaluation of machine capabilities. Indoors, a new Emerging Technologies Pavilion joined expanded Safety and Fleet Management exhibit pavilions on the show floor.
“We’re excited to return to Louisville with our new name - The Utility Expo - reflecting an event that introduces professionals from all utility sectors to the new equipment, ideas and innovations they need, all in one location,” said John Rozum, show director for The Utility Expo. “We value our continued partnership with KEC and Louisville Tourism, and look forward to coming home to Louisville in 2021.”
The partnership between what was ICUEE and KEC/Louisville Tourism began in 1987 when the show required a facility with indoor and outdoor exhibit space capable of handling demos and test drives for cranes, earthmovers and heavy-duty trucks.
