ESTA is the European association of abnormal road transport and mobile cranes

Nominations have been made for further changes at the top of ESTA, the European association of abnormal road transport and mobile cranes.

At the September board meeting Stijn Sarens, from Belgium-based international heavy lift and transport specialist Sarens, was nominated to take over as ESTA secretary. Alexandre-Jacques Vernazza from leading French crane rental company Mediaco was nominated as Section Cranes vice-president.

The vacancies arose with the appointment of Ton Klijn to take over as ESTA director from Søren Jansen who retired at the end of June. Klijn was previously ESTA secretary and Section Cranes vice-president.

In a separate move, Jens Enggaard, CEO at Danish crane and equipment rental company BMS, has been nominated to take over as ESTA treasurer from Hendrik Sarens whose term has ended.

All three new appointments have to be confirmed by ESTA’s General Assembly which takes place during the organisation’s autumn meetings in Krakow, Poland, on 19 and 20 October.
