Over the past month, French rental company Kiloutou has accelerated the reopening of its depots, in accordance with official safety guidance, so that its entire French network is now open and operational.

Since 2 April, Kiloutou has been reopening its French depots in line with security measures to ensure the safety of staff and customers.

Olivier Colleau, Executive Chairman of Kiloutou, said, “In constant contact with our customers, we were able to measure their commitment in a proactive recovery. They are organising themselves today to quickly restart their activity.

“At the same time, our security protocol, which has been tested for more than a month, is acclaimed by our team members and our customers: our customers come to rent with confidence and our team members feel safe in their work environment.

“These are all strong signals that mobilised us to accelerate our programme to reopen our agencies. We are now ready to support the recovery of our customers.”

While larger depots are able to offer contactless rental, smaller depots have adapted so that customers can safely enter them. For instance, they have installed plexiglass at counters, made hydroalcoholic gel available, and put distance markings on the floor.

The Kiloutou Energie depots, specialising in the supply of temporary energy and pumps, and Kiloutou Module, dedicated to the rental of modular buildings, are also up and running.

The reopening of Kiloutou’s depots is accompanies by the use of other services to ensure safety.

These include the ‘chat’ messaging function on the company’s website, which can be used to communicate with advisers and book equipment rentals. Also, the My Kiloutou app has an area dedicated to requests for assistance and the management of rental contracts.

The company is also double cleaning equipment using a bleach solution – when equipment is going out on rent and when it is being returned.

Colleau said, “The current period requires above all agility and I know I can count on the commitment of our team members who are fully mobilised to serve our customers in this new environment.”
