International industrial specialist Muhibbah Engineering from Qatar has taken delivery of 14 modules of self-propelled MSPE 40t from manufacturer Cometto.

It is a total of 84 axle lines and will add 3,360 tonnes to the payload capacity for heavy transport challenges at the construction site in Qatar, according to Cometto parent company Faymonville.

Giovanni Monti, head of sales at Cometto, explained, “This equipment will be used in the logistics of a new shipyard built in the Um Alhoul Special Economic Zone in Qatar.”

The order consists of 14 units of the 6-axle module type MSPE 6/4, each with a capacity of 40 tonnes per axle line. Two power packs with an output of 331 kW each and some accessories completed the package. A key feature of the modular equipment is that it can be configured to form lifting platforms “of any dimension and shape,” Cometto said.

Cometto MSPE series is available with load capacities from 40 to 70 tonnes per axle line.
