Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe has appointed Alwark SIA and Alwark UAB as its new dealers in Latvia and Lithuania respectively.

The Alwark Group, which comprises 11 sales and services locations across the Baltic region, will provide customers with sales, rental and maintenance services for a range of new and used Hitachi excavators and wheeled loaders.

Evita Tuca, marketing manager for Alwark SIA in Latvia, said: “The most important thing is being a reliable partner to our customers, which means much more than just good service, the best price and availability. It means people, flexible cooperation and understanding the core of the successful relationship.”

Hitachi said its outlook for the region was positive and that Lithuania’s construction market is anticipated to grow by 2.9% annually for the eight next years, thanks to its strategic location between Russia and the European Union. The company said massive infrastructure projects such as Rail Baltica and related residential and commercial developments, would drive growth in the region’s construction market over the next ten years.
