VIDEO: The 2010 Yellow Table

14 April 2010

Chris Sleight, editor of International Construction takes an in-depth look at The Yellow Table, our league table of the world's 50 largest construction equipment manufacturers.

The study, which is based on revenues in 2009, shows how the global recession has taken its toll on the industry, with total sales last year down -23.6% to US$ 108 billion.

But the recession has not affected all regions of the world, and with the Chinese construction market continuing to grow last year, China's equipment manufacturers have seen their standings in the Yellow Table improve dramatically. There are now three manufacturers inside the global top 20, and one, XCMG, inside the global top 10.

The Yellow Table is published as part of the April edition of International Construction. It is also available to buy as a stand-alone report from the khl.com information store.
