Bobcat's new attachments make its telehandlers even more versatile

Bobcat's new range of hydraulic hoist and extension jib attachments adds additional flexibility to telehandlers. Two types of attachments are available, hydrualic hoists rated to 3.5 or 4 tonne, and 600 and 1,000 kg hydraulic hoists, each combined with a 4 m jib.

"Designed for applications in construction, general industry and maintenance, the use of the hoist or hoist/extension jib attachments enables a telescopic handler to perform the functions of a crane, but with all the advantages of site mobility and versatility typically provided by the telehandler," the company said. "Using the hoist and jib attachments, the telehandler can be used to position loads in places which are difficult to access conventionally using the boom on the telehandler alone. The hoists are indispensable for raising and lowering loads without having to move the boom, and are fitted with a proportional control system for precise positioning of the load."

The hydraulic hoists have a drop length of 24 m with a cable diameter of 12 mm. Cable can be let out at a speed of 21.5 m/min. The hoists are offered as both factury and dealer installed options.
