Bocker crawler crane makes US debut
03 March 2017
Bocker's new lightweight, compact crawler crane, the RK 36/2400, has a chassis that the company claims offers safe traction and grip, as well as an equal pressure distribution on all types of ground. This enables it to work on gravel, sand, and wet or soft lawn areas with payloads of up to 2,400 kg. The crane has a powerful diesel engine, although it can be equipped with an additional emissions-free electric motor which offers the same performance as the diesel engine, enabling the crane to be used indoors. Multiple angle outriggers, radio remote control operation, and an articulated boom and jib with an extension length of up to 36 metres make the crane particularly suitable for applications in small, confined, hard-to-reach or remote job sites, says Boker. The crane can also be used as an access platform, with transformation from crane to platform mode taking a very short time, says Boker.
Visitors to ConExpo will have a chance to see the crane on stand number G4017 in the Gold Lot.
