Snorkel booms working on CSL's new headquarters in Edmonton, Canada.

Snorkel’s distributor in Canada, CSL Group, is building a new headquarters that will house the company’s three main businesses.

The new facility, in Edmonton, Alberta, will house CanSource Lifts, the aerial platform dealership and rental business, as well as CSL Transportation and CSL Safety Training.

The building is close to the Yellowhead Highway, the 3000 km east-west road that is the major link between the four western Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Jim Dakin, general manager of CSL Group, said: “This new location not only provides amazing Yellowhead exposure but it also gives enough room to grow for the future. We would like to thank all of our customers who have supported us throughout the past 15 year and now.

“The new location will almost double the amount of CSL Parts and Services mechanic bays to 7500 square feet, offering our customers less wait time to get customer-owned equipment repairs.“

Snorkel boom lifts played a significant role in the early stages of the construction, particularly in the steel frame erection.

Bert Rayer, Snorkel’s western regional sales manager, said; “CSL has been doing a really great job for us, promoting Snorkel to independent, family-owned rental stores across Alberta and beyond.

“The new facility is in a prime location and will undoubtedly help them further grow Snorkel sales as the company continues to expand.”

As part of the move, CSL will launch a new business, CSL Storage, later this year. Storage will provide yard space to contractors.

CSL was founded in 1997 and is a family-owned company that offers the sale and rental of aerial lifts. Snorkel said it was one of the largest aerials rental companies in Edmonton.
