Compact Power Inc is to distribute the Italian-built Multione compact articulated wheeled loaders in North America, New Zealand and Australia under the Boxer brand, and may well also sell the machines in South America and the UK.

The company will distribute two versions of the product, with 26 and 32 hp engines. The handlers - the 749DT is pictured here at ConExpo - will compete against conventional skid steers, but a spokesman for Compact Power said the loaders cause less damage to the ground surface and provide a good reach. The Multione is built in Italy by CSF srl.

Compact Power has also launched its first dedicated trencher - a ride-on model - and reached a private labelling agreement with The Power Barrow Company to sell its 6 cubic ft and 10 cubic ft capacity mini-dumpers under the Boxer name.
