IMER Access has further expanded its access product range with the launch at Intermat of two tracked atrium lifts, the 15 m working height IM R 15 and the 19 m IMER R 19. Both are electro-hydraulic models with articulated booms.

Two other models - 13 m and 23 m machines to be launched at Bauma next year - will complete the tracked model line-up.

These two platforms have been designed entirely by Imer Access and are not related to the LEM range of atrium lifts - of similar sizes to the new IM machines - being sold by sister company IHIMER under a cooperation agreement with another Italian manufacturer.

IHIMER told AI that it will continue to sell the LEM range and that it had different dealers and a different strategy for the access market from Imer Access.

Regarding the two new Imer tracked machines, Mr Pianigiani said they offered good performance characteristics, with almost 9 m of outreach on the 15 m model and around 10 m on the 19 m unit. Automatic levelling of the outriggers is standard on the bigger machine and optional on the 15 m unit. Hydraulic swivel of the cages is standard on both models and both have extendible tracks, 0.78 m narrow and 1.05 m fully extended.

The lifts can be powered by Yanmar LN100 diesel engine or Honda GX390 petrol engines.

Both machines have the same outrigger footprint of 3.2 x 3.3 m, with the smaller unit weighing 1980 kg and the larger one 2300 kg.

"The Imer Access division is continuing to grow as an industrial and commercial concern", said Mr Pianigiani, "This new line of products is designed to meet the needs of a broader custom base and create a more diversified offering, based on experience and know-how accumulated in the construction machinery and construction equipment sector over a period of more than 50 years. "

The division will show several of its scissor lifts at the upcoming M&T Expo in Brazil, the first time Imer Access has shown its platforms in Brazil.
