JLG debuts turf tires

23 July 2018

The tires are specifically for the company’s G5-18A telehandlers

JLG Industries, Inc., has debuted 33- by 16-inch Turf Tires. The tires are designed to be turf-friendly and provide traction and floatation with minimal ground disturbance. Turf Tires will be available as an option for the G5-18A telehandlers in August 2018.

“The tires’ minimal turf disturbance tread design is ideal for grounds maintenance for areas such as sport complexes and golf courses, along with residential construction and landscaping,” said John Boehme, JLG senior product manager, telehandlers.

Turf Tires also have excellent durability with 12-ply rating and higher floatation for less imprint on turf. Turf tires increase the machine width to 76.5 inches.

The company also recently released a fork-mounted extendable truss for telehandlers. This extendable truss was designed for lifting and placing objects around jobsites.

The company said the attachment is ideal for metal building erection, setting wooden trusses and putting up post-frame buildings in addition to more “low-rise” applications. It is designed to accommodate a maximum fork size of 2.36 x 7 x 72 inches.

“The new fork-mounted extendable truss attachment provides a multitude of solutions for the jobsite,” said John Boehme, JLG senior product manager, telehandlers. “It helps expand the versatility of the telehandler by providing a low-profile attachment designed for handling suspended loads.”
