Kinshofer buys HKS demolition attachments business

10 April 2008

Kinshofer GmbH has acquired 100% of the shares of the scrap and demolition shears business of HKS Abbruch- und Verschrottungstechnik GmbH for an undisclosed sum. The HKS product will be sold under the Kinshofer name alongside the Kinshofer range of excavator attachments, including grabs, multi-processors and pulverisers.

In a statement, Kinshofer managing director Thomas Friedrich said: “With the extended product range, the Kinshofer Group will provide its clients with a one stop shop for attachments for the construction and recycling industries. This will make life much easier for them as they no longer have to deal with different people and organisations.”

According to Kinshofer, the experience the company now has brought together will be applied to further developing and expanding the range of shears, a drive that will have a high priority over the short to mid term.

HKS Co-founder Wolfram Wack will remain in place as the general manager of the HKS product line under its new guise, with Helmut Wack acting as a consultant for the product in the short term.
