Netherlands-based Kobelco has announced the introduction of seven new mini excavators, six of which are on show at Intermat.

The range includes both conventional and short radius machines within an easily transportable set of products.

The company said it expects the SK16 and SK18 models in particular to attract interest from the rental industry, as they are equipped both for tight working spaces and major sites.

Product marketing manager Marcel van der Winden said: "More and more mini excavators are required to work in differing conditions by people with different skill sets.

"This means our customers require machines that are easy to learn and use while mainting the highest possible level of reliability and safety."

All seven products are expected to be available from July onwards.
