Liebherr is to supply two ship-to-shore (STS) container cranes to the Egyptian ports of Alexandria and Dekhelia.

Egypt's Alexandria Container & Cargo Handling Co. has placed an order with Liebherr for two ship-to-shore (STS) container cranes for its Alexandria and Dekhelia ports.

The manufacturer is to provide one Megamax and one Super Post Panamax to the Egyptian company.

For Alexandria, Liebherr is to supply a Megamax with a waterside outreach of 45 m, a span of 15 m, a landside backreach of 19.5 m and a lift height of 33 m.

The Super Post Panamax going to Dekheila port will have a waterside outreach of 56 m, a landside backreach of 19.5 m, a span of 15 m and a lift height of 38 m.

Both cranes have a capacity of 60 tonnes and will be delivered fully erected. Liebherr Container Cranes has been supplying Egypt since the 1980s, said the company.
