Liebherr buys business from Shriro Group
08 April 2015
Tower crane manufacturer Liebherr-Werk Biberach in Germany has completed its takeover of Shriro Group of Companies, a rental company in Hong Kong.
The Shriro Group tower crane rental fleet includes 24 tower cranes and 20 sales and service staff. All staff will now work for Liebherr.
Dominique Tasch, Liebherr-Werk Biberach managing director, said, “The crane specialists are superbly trained and have already completed courses at the manufacturing plant in Biberach. That means that the transition will be very smooth and existing contracts and obligations will be met without any restrictions.”
Following the sale, Shriro plans to focus more on its international trade in consumer goods. Liebherr-Singapore will now be responsible for the Liebherr tower crane business throughout Asia, a spokesperson said.
Tasch added, “We are particularly focusing on project business and special building sites. Liebherr can provide excellent services for complex special projects using the expertise of its engineers from the Tower Crane Solutions business unit. We work with the customer to find a safe, economical solution to technically complicated building projects.”
