More performance and more operator comfort are promised by the latest addition to Wirtgen's cold milling machine range. The W 100 F replaces the W 1000 F and, according to Wirtgen, the machine offers +20% more power as well as a more ergonomic, easier to use design.

The new W 100 F offers standard working width of between 1 and 1.3 m but can also be used with Wirtgen's Flexible Cutter System to give working widths of 0.3 to 1 m.

The new cold milling machine is powered by a six cylinder 209 kW Cummins engine which features and elastic mounting to reduce noise emissions.

To improve the W 100 F's operation, the number of switches in the cab has been reduced by -20%, compared to the previous model, and a number of functions on the machine are now automated. The machine also features Wirtgen's Level Pro System to improve accuracy.

The design concept on the W 100 F will also feature on the new W 100 and W 60, which will be launched at the Bauma exhibition in Munich, Germany next year.
