Sandvik's new QE440 large scalping screen due to be launched in September

Sandvik Mining and Construction is to launch a new screen in September this year. The QE440 is a large scalping screen designed to separate fines from base material prior to crushing. Anders Kjellberg, vice president of business development in the construction segment said, "The QE440 is a product that enables us to fill a gap in our business offering."

Mr Kjellberg continued, "Our screen business has taken market share, is experiencing positive momentum and is holding up very well this year.

"We are therefore strengthening our screen range and our ‘screen 2010' concept will enable us to offer different options for different markets, thus tailoring our equipment more specifically to each region and application."

Further structural and product developments relating to screens are currently underway, and more details will be made available later this year according to Mr Kjellberg.
