ABB's Tormod Gunleiksrud to become Alimak Hek's new CEO

Tormod Gunleiksrud has been appointed as the new CEO (chief executive officer) and president of the Alimak Hek Group; taking over from the interim CEO, Lars Josefsson.

Mr Gunleiksrud will start in his new role on 1 November 2012 and, to ease the transition, he will be supported until the end of the year by former CEO, Patrik Nolåker, who is a member of the board and Mr Josefsson.

Magnus Lindquist, chairman of the Alimak Hek Group said, "With Mr Josefsson as the interim CEO we have had the time to evaluate and select the best candidate for the job. Mr Gunleiksrud is a perfect match for the future challenges of the Group and will, with his experience from different industrial businesses and China, contribute to growing and strengthening the Group."

Mr Gunleiksrud is currently working for ABB in Switzerland as manager of operational excellence for the Robotics Business Unit. Prior to that he was the president and regional division manager North Asia for ABB Robotics and stationed in Shanghai, China. His previous work experience also includes executive roles within the robotics, process automation and oil and gas businesses of ABB, where he has worked since 1984.
