AFC Energy’s newest 30kW S Series fuel cell generator, along with a 60kWh battery storage unit, will be leased to Acciona to help reduce carbon emissions during construction activities.

Miguel Paris Torres, Head of Area at Acciona’s Construction Business R&D Centre, said, “Acciona has set high ambitions to decarbonise its construction business over an aggressive timescale and the displacement of diesel engines from sites is a key element of that strategy. I have witnessed first-hand the significant steps taken by AFC Energy in delivering its latest H-Power Generator from our initial field trials of the H-Power

“Tower nearly two years ago and believe the system is now ready for on-site deployment. We continue to see hydrogen as a significant pillar of our decarbonisation strategy and believe our partnership with AFC Energy will see growing opportunities to displace diesel on sites with hydrogen power generation starting this year.”
