Scheuerle InterCombi SP with the Generation 2 wind turbine blade adapter

At Bauma 2013 Scheuerle will present a new generation of rotor blade adapters for the wind turbine transport industry.

Scheuerle claims that with the new adaptors blades can be raised to an angle of 60 degrees, making it easier for transport vehicles to avoid obstacles such as trees or buildings.

Features of the adapter include an integrated slewing gear, which allows the rotor blade to turn on its own longitudinal axis up to +/- 110 degrees, the company said.

The adapter also comes with a wind sensor that warns against exceeding a parametrisable wind speed.

The rotor blade adapter will be exhibited on an InterCombi SP trailer.
