Aggreko launches Clean Air Solutions rental offer

The company said that with winter setting in and more people staying indoors its Clean Air Solutions rental offer would help reduce the risk of transmitting the virus.

Aggreko is offering modular ventilation units that can deliver up to 12 air changes per hour. Equipped with HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filters, Aggreko said its modular ventilation equipment also uses UV light to remove up to 99.6% of bacteria and viruses from enclosed spaces.

Matt Parker, Aggreko’s Head of Temperature Control, said, “With the Covid-19 pandemic remaining an ever-present risk for many countries around the world, business leaders are quite rightly focused on keeping people safe on their premises.

“Our Clean Air Solutions can reduce the risk of transmission by ensuring that clean, fresh air is circulating throughout a particular building. The scientific evidence shows us that this is one of the most effective steps we can take to ensure that everyone in any indoor setting is kept safe.”

According to the World Health Organisation, Covid-19 is mainly spread through airborne droplets expelled when people who have the virus cough, sneeze and talk. Also, research from the University of Colorado in the US has showed that effective ventilation is one of the most effective ways to reduce viral transmission in indoor spaces.

Aggreko said its air filtration equipment is suitable for use in indoor spaces, such as offices, schools, restaurants and shops.
