NSG UK Limited, a scaffolding contractor and manufacturer of access towers, has launched what the company's sales director Paul Gallacher calls 'the smallest scissor lift in the world”. The hydraulically-elevating, 240 kg payload, 3.63 m working height Pop-Up platform has been designed as an alternative to ladders and steps. The lift, priced at €4440 (US$5300), uses battery power to lift the scissor pack and is moved manually. It measures 1.1 m long and 0.7 m wide and weighs 270 kg.
