An new 8800 ft (2.7 km) long cable stay bridge in Toledo, Ohio – the Veteran's Glass City Skyway over the Maumee River – provided a complicated access problem for contractor Fru–Con: how to access the 435 ft (132.5 m) high pylons to anchor the cables and install the large glass panels and 350 LED that adorn the four sides of each tower? The answer came in the form of two Hydro Mobile F–Series mast climbers with swivel bridges and special sliding bridges to provide access to the sides of the pylon.
