Pictured is a twin–cage Avro Hoist in action in the Bahamas. The Canadian company said it is developing its own 7500 lb (3.3 t) and 8000 lb (3.6 t) hoists using cages built in Canada. Up to now, the company has imported Chinese–built hoist structures and then installed the electrical components itself. Avro – which owns hoist rental business Metro Hoisting 'Erecting – said prototypes of the two models have already been made in Canada, and both counterweighted and noncounter weighted
