Crane and transport specialist Al Faris has established an operation in Iraq.

Dubai-based Al Faris has invested in a new fleet of cranes and transport equipment. It said it has an experienced team with vast local knowledge and global experience. Heading up the operation is Alberto Pittaluga who has “immense industry knowledge, credibility and over 20+ years of experience in challenging regions including Iraq,” Al Faris said.

The dedicated heavy lifting fleet includes Liebherr cranes from 100 to 600 tonnes capacity and the heavy haulage equipment includes hydraulic trailers, self propelled modular transporter (SPMT), semi-trailers and low-bed trailers. Also available are alternative lifting services, including jacking and skidding techniques in confined spaces. The equipment includes hydraulic gantries and modular push-pull skidding systems.

Projects have already been completed in West Qurna 1, West Qurna 2 and Al Faw in Iraq, Al Faris said. In addition to having up to date equipment the company said it prides itself on its HSE practices. “Our safety, health and quality standards are well integrated in our daily work, training and all on-site jobs,” the company said.
