IPAF and Assodimi/Assonolo, the Italian rental and distributors association, have signed a cooperation agreement to promote safety and best practice in the industry.

Under the agreement, Assodimi will help promote the IPAF platform operator training programme in Italy, and possibly also provide IPAF training itself. Assodimi will also work with IPAF to develop the IPAF Rental+ audit service in Italy.

Gerhard Hillebrand, IPAF's Italian representative, said: “Assonolo represents 60% of the Italian rental industry, including the top construction machinery rental companies, and Assodimi, which represents construction machinery distributors, has more than 450 members. We are delighted to join forces with Assodimi/Assonolo. I am sure that both our organisations will be able to tap the benefits of this reciprocal cooperation.”

The cooperation agreement was signed during Intermat and witnessed by the European Rental Association (ERA), represented by President Gerard Deprez. The agreement was announced to Assodimi/Assonolo members at their AGM and Congress held in May.
