MEC is expanding its line of DC direct electric drive slab scissors with the new Micro 19 scissor lift. The line already features the 1330SE Micro scissor lift through to the 4555SE, and the Micro 19 will expand the offering in the micro class of scissors.

Like the 1330, the Micro 19’s ultra-compact design fits into small and tight work areas plus delivers all the benefits of extended duty cycles and faster drive speeds shared by the full direct electric drive line.

“As with most of our new product development projects, we started out by listening to our customer’s needs. Following the phenomenal reception of the 1330 from our customers, we reacted to their request for a machine of similar dimensions that could satisfy the applications traditional 19ft machines achieve. Today’s construction business pack more utilities, safety and security systems into new buildings and in the maintenance of existing buildings so we felt they needed an ultra-compact machine to fit those tight work areas,” says Gary Crook, vice president of engineering.

“The Micro 19 in combination to our 1330SE now provides our customers with the height options they need in the tight spaces where the Micro class delivers” says David White, President. “A 19 ft class machine that can fit in elevators opens up many new opportunities.”

MEC 45-AJ.

MEC is also introducing its new 45-AJ, a 45ft articulated boom lift. With a 48-HP diesel Kubota engine, the 45-AJ is the only machine in its class to offer 360 degree continuous rotation. Fully featured with solid rough terrain tires, 6 ft wide 3-sided entry platform with swing gate, powerful 4WD and oscillating front axle to name a few standard features.

“With our 45-AJ, we were looking to expand our boom line with a product that demonstrates our values for full-featured, rugged, simple and reliable boom lifts. We believe this machine delivers those values and provides best in class productivity with the continuous rotation. We are excited to continue the expansion of our boom line.”
