Bouygues reports first half sales increase

France's Bouygues has recorded first half (1HY08) sales of € 15,3 billion, up +15% on the same period in 2007.

In a preliminary statement on its website, Bouygues said the construction arm of its business reported a +20% growth in sales on the same period 12 months ago to € 4,4 billion from € 3,7 billion. Sales in France rose +11%, whilst sales outside France grew by +33% on like-for-like periods.

Bouygues Immobilier, the property development division of the group, reported a significant +61% growth in sales from € 808 million to € 1,3 billion in the corresponding period.

Colas, the company's road building and infrastructure subsidiary, reported 1HY08 sales of € 5,6 billion, up +14% on the € 4,9 billion recorded in the first half of 2007.

Bouygues will make a full half year earnings presentation on 28 August 2008.
