Visitors to the Allied Construction products stand (C4210) at ConExpo will be treated to a new breaker fest, with the launch of 10 new models into the North American construction market. Five of these are new Allied products, in the shape of two AR series models and three HR breakers.

The new AR165 is designed for carriers weighing 33 to 41 tonnes and weighs 2,954 kg (6,500 lb). Allied says that this new breaker is in the 8,000 ft/lb class. It is joined by the larger AR175, which is a 3,800 kg (8,270 lb), 11,000 ft/lb class breaker designed for carriers from 40 to 70 tonnes in weight.

The HR units are the 500 ft/lb class 230, 2,560 ft/lb class 390 and 3,710 ft/lb 566, covering excavators ranging in weight from 3 to 25 tonnes, with the mid unit, the HR390 also available for mounting on backhoe loaders.

Allied is the sole distributor in North America for Sandvik breakers, and there are a further five of these that are new to the market. Brand new are the 555, 777 and 999 hammers that form Sandvik's small hammer range. In addition, the BR2155 and BR2577, launched at bauma in 2010, are receiving their North American official launch.
