Jersey rental company 4Hire has added more Bobcat excavators to its fleet.

Channel Island rental company 4Hire continues to invest in its rental fleet, adding a further two Bobcat excavators to a fleet that already includes 13 Bobcat excavators and a Bobcat telehandler.

4Hire, based in Grouville, Jersey, was founded in July 2008 by Nigel Blandin and some partners. Mr Blandin sold his previous rental company, Blandin Light Plant, to Hewden in 2003. He continued to work for Hewden for three years before setting up his own contracting business in 2006.

All the Bobcat machines have been supplied to 4Hire by LC Pallot, Channel Islands Bobcat and Doosan dealer and a family-owned firm run by brothers Stephen and Nigel Pallot.

"The Channel Islands together are still a strong market", said Steve Pallot, "There are plenty of building and civil engineering projects creating new housing and offices and new infrastructure such as tunnels and roads on the islands. We believe that our Bobcat customers benefit from the service only a dedicated dealer like ourselves can offer."

Nigel Blandin, managing director of 4Hire, said: "Like the market-leading skid-steer loaders, Bobcat excavators and telehandlers are really good hire fleet machines. The excavators are popular with our customers because they are strong machines that do not break down, they dig well and are comfortable to operate. L C Pallot back up the quality of the machines with an excellent after sales service, which is second to none on the island."

The 4Hire fleet now includes Bobcat E10, 323, 428, 435 and 341 excavators and a new Bobcat T35120SL 12-metre telehandler, as well as other equipment, including Haulotte aerial platforms.
