Cherry Demolition, a leading US demolition contractor, has appointed Jay Marak to the position of corporate safety director, a role that involves the overall supervision of the company’s various safety departments to help maintain one of the lowest EMR rates in the US demolition industry

Mr Marak has held executive and managerial positions in the construction for more than 40 years, specializing the safety field managing company safety programmes. This involved the carrying out of training courses and the implementation of new employment and company policies. Most recently, he was the principal in Marak Safety Services.
